SMAT File permissions

We’ve been having an ongoing intermittent problem — roughly once a day — with SMAT files locking up. We’re running Cloverleaf 5.3P3 on Win 2003 Rev 2. This problem manifests itself in a couple ways:

– The process log file has the error:  failed to open save file…  Permission denied

– Usually the .idx file has a size of 0 but the .msg file is fairly large. If we stop the thread and try to rename the .msg file through WIndows Explorer we get an error message that the file is in use.

– This doesn’t seem to be related to us leaving the files open in SMAT since we are usually pretty conscientious about exiting SMAT when done.

Could you post more of what your process log has to say?

Both before and after the permission denied statement?

If the .idx file is 0, then it looks like you’re in the middle

of a cycle save and the log may have more clues.
