      Hello –

I have a process that is throwing SMAT errors.  This is a test box (linux) and i did a complete dbinit -A -C and physically deleted all the SMAT files in the directory, but every time I try and start the process it crashes.  Any thoughts?

Sorry I don’t have a better answer, but have not seen these (not having any mention of SQLITE).

Is the Site option set to Save to Database=Y and Encryption=N?

          Also, maybe enable Smat History?

Please double check that you deleted all *.smatdb* files in that process, not just the ones ending in .smatdb.  There can be several files created by sqlite that all relate to the same smatdb file – used to improve concurrent access.

You may also want to ensure that any messages in the recovery database for those threads are deleted.  I’ve had issues with those.

              Thanks,

              Jerry

The line “fd < 1024" catches my eye.  Is this a new install?  Are there other sites running w/o issue?  What is the limit for open file descriptors?  Also what are the permissions for the directory for the smat files?  Maybe the process cannot write to the directory?

                Just some random thoughts.
