Sites & processes – best practices

Running Cloverleaf 5.3 Rev 3 on AIX 5.2 and need advice on the optimum number of sites and processes. Is there an rule of thumb on a recommended & maximun number of processes per site and sites per server? I know the amount of memory and number of processors on the server effect throughtput as well, but I’m looking for numbers from the Cloverleaf perspective.
