what will be the technical procedure if site is frozen and all the prods are red beside having to call technical support. Can it be resolve internally?
First: is the monitor daemon running? You need to have the monitor daemon up in order to see the status of your site via the GUI. Check the monitor daemon if it’s up (hcisitectl) and possibly restart it (hcisitectl -s m).
Second: have you checked whether the site is really down? Does ‘hciprocstatus’ on the command-line say that all processes are down? If not, then restart the hostserver (hciss -k h, followed by hciss -s h). Also restart your client after this.
Third: if hciprocstatus shows that your processes are down, then they are really down. You need to restart these processes, but better still to restart the complete site, cleanup some stuff and the restart the site again. There are some posts about this on the forum.
Hope this helps.

We see this a lot on our test system running CL 5.8.5 on AIX 6.1. What happens in our case is monitor daemon has be “labotomized”, meaning we can see the hcimonitord process running, but the GUI is all red and dead.
To fix, we do as Robert suggests in his first course of action, first we close all GUI NetMonitors, then we stop the monitor daemon first (because it’s a running process) using hcisitectl -k m, then start it using the hcisitectl -s m.
Hope this helps,
