Depending on what version of Cloverleaf (I’m assuming 5.6 or later), you may need to take a look at the encoding that is configured on your inbound & outbound threads and adjust.
For some reason,Word uses a different single and double quote than what you would expect from normal ASCII character set. I’ve noticed this when cutting and pasting Cache code (for Epic) between email and Cache cube editor.
It’s always difficult to create plain text in Word. Your best option is to use either Notepad or Wordpad and save as .txt
The character substitution problem is that in Word you have “SmartQuotes” enabled. In Word 2007, you can disable that by going into Word Options > Proofing > Auto Correct Options > AutoFormat As You Type > Replace as you type >
Chris, many thanks for giving me this little correction to Word. Since Word is my email editor, and we exchange a log of Cache code via email, this is invaluable to me!! 😀
