I am experiencing problems with the configuration for a secure HL7 FTP connection to a remote site. This is my first time configuring for one. Could one of you provide me some insight into the correct configuration?
SFTP as a configurable protocol in Cloverleaf I believe was introduced in release 5.8 (maybe 5.7).
In order to use FTPS I believe you need to order the SSL module from Healthvision/Lawson (at least we did).
If you have the SSL module (that is not what is officially called but I don’t recall the official name) then post your configuration or email me with it.
I have successfuly deployed FTPS once.

You will need to buy a license from Lawson Cloverleaf for the SSL and SSH (only in CIS58) which is bundled in the module Secure Messenger in the license request form. We have both as we had purchased Secure Messenger in 2008 to do HTTPS interfaces with payers (X12 POSTS). And once we acquired 5.8 then the SSH was included by default. There is an annual maintenance cost once purchased.
Look in your license.dat file and see if the following entries exist:
(we have both 5.7 which only provides FTPS – SSL secure FTP
and 5.8 which introduced SFTP – SSH secure FTP):
cl-aom-ftps
cl-aom-sftp
cl-aom-ssl
Contact your CRM at Lawson Cloverleaf for prices.
Of course you could attempt to dowload freeware versions of SSL, SSH but then you get into the business of maintaning this stuff every time it changes or requires updates. And then you are at the mercy and charity of the Cloud Community for support (IMO).
Hope this helps.
