We had a SAN stabilization issue last week that corrupted several of the hundreds of cloverleaf recovery databases in production.

It took 4 team members 3 hours to go through all the sites to assess and repair the damage.

I realized it would be nice and save significant time if I had a script that could go through all the sites and report to me which ones were corrupt.

If anyone already has such a script that I can leverage please post and share with the rest of us.

Otherwise, I would be interested what approach might be valid to determine if a recovery data base is corrupt using a script.

If there are already posts on clovertech please make mention of those and I will read them.

I will also do some searching on clovertech but I’ve had trouble with the search featrue to find my own posts so that is why I’m posting first and searching second.

          Hi Russ,

I encountered the same issue when we had a really hard failover, lost a memory controller or some such thing.  The first two commands are canned procedures I created that I added to the file for portability.

Here is a script I used to find sites with database issues.  I have to give thanks to Alex for great db count command line, one of my must have bookmarks.

Thanks, I have downloaded your script and will be taking a look at it when I have a chance probably tomorrow, since I’m in meetings the rest of today.

Don’t be suprised if you don’t hear from me for about two weeks, as I will be tanning in Mexico. 8)
