Retries Exceeded message when setting up FTP

I am trying to use the interface engine to pick up a file from pur FTP Server and move the file to an outside vendor’s server via the FTP Protocol. When I turn the thread on it goes into an opening status and give me the message of “Retries exceeded connecting to 10.2.0.41/FTP”. I checked the servers to make sure that the FTP ports are open but now I am stumped. This is the first time I have ever tried to do anything with the FTP protocol and don’t know where to go next.

Tim,

Try getting rid of the entry (localhost) in the ‘Local Host or IP Address’ field. I think that should get better results for you.
