      Hello All,

I did a search in the forum and did not see anyone else having this problem, but maybe I can get some insight from others. When I resend a file of messages via the thread resend command in Network Monitor, the messages do NOT go to ALL the threads per the routes defined. This is not a basic route problem since messages flow as desired per the RouteTest in the Tester and normal inbound message flow from the sending server. I assume there is no issue with the file or the selections from the radio buttons since the messages do flow to one of the routes. I am stumped at the moment…

      Thanks,

Are you resubmitting via an inbound or an outbound thread? What are your selections in the Resend Datafile window?

I am sending via an inbound thread with the Direction: Inbound pre_TPS, Msg Type: Data, and the Priority: 5120. The file format is Length Encoded.

            Thanks

Have you looked at the file contents to verify that it is, in fact, Length Encoded and not another format?

How are the routes configured? Is the one that works set up as Static? Try adding a puts to your TrxId Determination proc to echo the return value so you can see what TrxId is getting passed to the routing. Sounds like something may not be matching the other route specifications.

                Hello Chris,

Thanks for the input. The file format is correct, as the messages are sent to the other route (and I can see that it is length encoded). I believe the route in question is correct as a the routetest in the tester does route properly, and messages are sent to all desired routes from a “real” inbound message. Very crazy.

Also, both routes in question (where one works and one does not for the file resend function only) are Static. My Trx id determination Format is just set to HL7 only with no other proc. Where can I add the echo?

                thanks

If you are using Static routes, then the TrxId doesn’t come into play. Could there be something in the file’s messges that is triggering some filtering that normally wouldn’t be hit with your live connection?

That would make sense. However it is a raw route and they are not making it to the following intermediate thread that has no filter/criteria that would (at least that I see) stop those messages. I will do this again with another set of messages.

                    Thanks
