Rename a site

Is there a way to rename an existing site without just copying the site contents and deleting the site and building a new site with a new name? Or is deleting and recreating, the best practice in situations like that?

  You would need to do the following:
  
  shut down everything in the site
  
  rename the site directory
  
  rename the site in $HCIROOT/server/server.ini
  
  rename the site in $HCIROOT/rootInfo to rename if this site was default or master
  
  restart the host server
