From one of our customers we got the following case:
They want to connect a system with Cloverleaf which sends ASN.1 BER encoded messages over TCP/IP. Cloverleaf will receive those ASN.1 BER encoded messages. These messages also need to be translated to XML and delivered to a Web Service.
Does anyone have experience with handling ASN.1 BER encoded messages over TCP/IP ?
We are especially interested in:
– TCP/IP settings
– How to decode BER
– A way to create a Format out of the ASN.1 structure (what type of format to use) because of the translation to XML
– Any examples, best practices, pitt falls etc.
Thanks in advance for your response.
