QUEUE DEPTH VS PENDING

Can someone explain to me what the difference is between “Queue Depth” in the Route Properties and “Pending” in the Thread Status?

Queue Depth refers to the post-xlate queue; these are messages that are post-Xlate (message state 7), but have not been placed in the outbound data queue of the outbound thread (message state 11); the “pending” count is the number of messages in state 11.
