QDX 8.3.1 site fails after 5.3 install

I have just recently installed QDX 5.3 Rev 2 on the same box as our QDX 3.8.1 Rev 4 install (Windows 2000 Server).  I have only one site active in the 381 environment, and when I start the 5.3 environment the 3.8.1 site will crash all the processes with a dbvista database error -924.  There are no processes installed yet in the 5.3 site, I suspect some type of internal conflict (memory or port ???).

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Pete,

I don’t know if you received an answer to this or not yet, but I had the same problem back in July, 2004 – here was the response from Quovadx support:

The issue that i think your experiencing was caught awhile back and was fixed in 3.8.1P Rev6 and it looks like your running Rev4. There was a problem running 3.8.1P and 5.3 on the same box on windows. So if you upgrade to Rev6, you should be ok..
