Is the date and time that a purgex command was issued on a thread stored anywhere besides the log?

If not, has anybody written a routine where this time is captured?

      Thanks!

I do not know of any place that the Purgex information is stored when it is run on a thread.  I only know that it is listed in the process log.

May I inquire as to why you are looking for this information?

research reasons.  I know when a change was done to a table or translate, but I do not know if/when a purgex was done to bring in the changes.

That is interesting.  I think that the only way you are going to be able to know when a purgex has been run is to look at the process log file.  Hopefully you already have a way to handle the roll over of the logs so that they are saved.

If you have Advanced Security or Global Monitor that might have an entry (depending on how it is set up) but once again you will need to interrogate a log.

But you also need to check for Process cycle as that will also cause refreshes.

Do you have Change Management in place in your institution? If so the documentation for that I hope would indicate the activation of any such changes independent of the method used in Cloverleaf.

I have some processes where the purgex does not show up in the process log.  I try it from the IDE and it does not show and I run it from hcicmd and it does not show.  So, I’m not sure if executed or not.

Version 6.1.2, but same happens with 5.8.5  .  It’s not every process, just some.

And does this happen whether you do the purgex at the process or thread level from the gui?

If you turn up the Netmonitor GUI noise and do the prugex (thread or process) does the purgex shoow up in the panel below?

Do you know if the purgex actually happened but just did not log or did the purgex not happen and not log?

Are the processes where this happens busier than processes where the issue does not occur (busier both from the standpoint of the number of objects whiich would be purged ass well as the load)?

                          1.  I usually do it from the process, but it’s my understanding you can’t purge cache for just a thread.  It’s always for the whole process.

                          2.  I think we have the NetMonitor GUI messages turned off.  Never check them.

                          3.  Don’t know if the purgex worked or not.  That’s what I was trying to confirm.

                          4.  Not been busier.

I don’t see if show up in the process log when I do a hcicmd from the command line.  I do get a message XLT-related caches purged.  Which is different than the message in the process log.
