What is the command syntax to run via the command line?  If I do this via the gui network monitor, the hold site gets cached (5.5 bug?)

      thx,Gary

          Gary,

Purging caches takes place at the process level; so it shouldn’t impact the whole site, but it sounds like you are experiencing that.  To purge cache from the command line:

          hcicmd -p processname -c “threadname1,threadname2,threadname3 purgex”

where the threadnames are all the threads in process ‘processname’

          Hope this helps.

Is there syntax where you don’t have to put the thread names in?

              Jim:

I think you have the snytax wrong.  You purge cache at the process level

              hcicmd -p -c “. purgex”

Thanks, Charlie.  I thought there was a shorter version, but when I executed a purge cache via NetMonitor at the process level (and displayed the ‘Command Output’), the command it ran used the syntax I posted.

                Interesting….
