Protocol Java (Java Driver)

I am trying to get something to work using the Protocol:Java that is available on the thread properties window.  I have not really found any java programming examples that fit that definition.  I have the 5.8 documentation but cannot find any examples.  I have done a lot of digging through everything in InforXtreme and not found anything.  I have asked Support and they do not have anything.  They told me to ask Clovertech.

Has anybody gotten the Protocol Java stuff to work?

I have found where if you pull in the cljava.jar file there are some classes in their but I have no idea as to how to handle exceptions and what engine needs back from the protocol driver.
