Process improvement (FTP HL7 to FRL ) takes to long.

It is taking the system about 20 minutes to convert a file FTP’d from the lab system that contains 15,000 records. That just seems to be way to long. Does anyone have a suggestion to make on what to look at to improve through put.

  I’m assuming that your inbound thread is using the ‘Fileset-local’ protocol, so the first thing that I would look at is the ‘Read Interval’ and ‘Max Messages’ configuration settings under the ‘Scheduling’ section for the ‘Fileset-local’ protocol. It sounds like you may need to bump up the values.
