We currently have 2 Cloverleaf systems one for production and one for development. We would like to install Rev 1 on our development server and workstation client to 6.0.1 and still be able to access our production server on 6.0.0.  When we attempted to do this we found that we could not access our production system. I attempted to install a second client in a different directory on my workstation but that failed because I already have a client installed.

Has anyone figured out a way to run a client in a mixed server environment?

      Thank you.

The client and the server must always be the same version. You cannot have multiple patch levels of the same client installed on the same machine. I know there are some hacks out there to get around this sometimes, but the end result is less than ideal.

What I do to get around this limitation is use virtual machines. I’ve been happily using VirtualBox for years.

No big deal.  Simply keep a copy of the clgui.jar file from $HCIROOT/clgui/lib

Name one clgui.jar.60 and the other clgui.jar.61.  Then copy the one you want to use to clgui.jar

Thank you. I will try this on Monday. Don’t like to make changes on a Friday especially since I am on call this weekend.
