PDL 8bit clean

      I’m using mlp_tcp.pdl between cloverleaf and Labdaq.  Is this pdl 8-bit clean?

      We are losing mu characters.  tcpdump shows the char sent as a ‘?’.

          Tcpdump is showing that the character mu (dec=230) is being communicated as a ? (0x3f)

          0x0110:  332f 3f6c 7c30 2e30 302d 302e 3130 7c48  3/?l|0.00-0.10|H

          The sending ap (labdaq) says the interface needs to comply with Socks 4, 4a, or 5.
