On a new test server running AIX 6.1 and qdx5.7, a thread which does a curl::transfer call is panicking with a signal 4.  This same thread configuration and tcl code works find on Sun 5.10 and qdx 5.7, and on AIX 5.3 and qdx 5.5.    The TclCurl package is 7.16.2, it loads successfully. and no other tcl errors occur, but when the script builds and  executes its web service call, the process panicks.  The AIX installation was done by a unix admin (since it needs root access), supposedly there were no problems in installing any of the tcl libraries.  No other tcl anomalies have been seen on this new installation.  Anybody have any suggestions?

I was anticipating that AIX 6.1 would be our next OS we run cloverleaf on, currently we are on AIX 5.3.

When I had called tech support about a year ago they told me there wasn’t a supported version of Cloverleaf out that runs on AIX 6.1.

I would suggest confirming if AIX 6.1 is supported yet and if so make sure you have the right version for that OS.

Please let us know if you find out cloverleaf does have a supported version that runs on AIX 6.1 because as it stands now I was probably going to put the cart ahead of the horse and build an AIX 6.1 LPAR and wait for cloverleaf to catch up.

AIX 6.1 is supported in 5.7 and 5.8.

John – as suggested, please work with Tech Support on this (techsupport@healthvision.com)
