      Good afternoon

I am trying to move the value of an NPI number for an MFN message from  PRA#6(4) to Pra #6(1) when I testing in the testing tool  (version 5.8 I know I know!)  It test correct but when I run it through using the source system through the xlate it does not work, it overwirites the value.  I am pretty sure its the itterate but how do I get around that?   Here is a partial screen shot of my xlate, thank you in advance!

If it worked in the testing tool, it should work in the engine assuming you are executing the same Xlate in the engine as you are testing. This is something you might have already checked but make sure the Xlate you are testing is in the same site as the engine is running.

As for the code, I would need to see more to assist should you be executing the same Xlate you are testing. If you would like to do a desktop sharing session where I can help, email me.

As usual, Jim, you are brilliant!!   I assumed, and it bit me!  Thank you for making double check myself, I was not using the xlate that was used on the interface that I was using for testing!!

              Thank you!

The company I work for has 8 months left with cloverleaf, before they shut it down, so it’s not going to happen!

They are merging with another company so it’s not in my future!

                    Hi Collin,

If your XLate is dependant on meta-data from the message, this will not be present when running from the Testing Tool.

A better way to troubleshoot such scripts is to add pre and post proc echo statements (ex: echo [lindex $xlateInVals 0]) in the steps that might be causing the issue.

                    Good Luck! Jim

It might be helpful to have a visual of the data and what you are trying to accomplish.
