      Hi Guys.

      I’m after examples of how different PAS communicate an Outpatient appointment re-schedule.  I’m not after solutions!

      In this example, both PAS’s communicate an A05 when an Outpatient booking is created.  If there is a reschedule, the two options we’ve seen are:

         A08; or

         A38/A05

          We use Epic which provides us with both an ADT and SIU interface.  

          The appointment bookings get SIU^S12, S14, S15, and S26’s for initial, update, cancellations and no-show’s.  

          On check in the ADT-side starts the usual chain of A04/A08/A31’s one would usually see for an office visit.

          I think it depends how far down the funnel the appt is and the workflow the user is in whether the booking can be modified or has to be cancelled and re-booked.  Epic has a incredible number of trigger points in the reg/sched application, so it can vary.

          Epic also has the SIU^S13, to reschedule, but we don’t use it.  I’m not sure why.  If I find out, I’ll post an update..
