ORM segment PV1 position 98

Can we create PV1 to go out to position 98?  Right now PV1 goes to 52 is there away to get from 52 to 98 or do I need to add 46 position to get there and can this be done.

You can create as many fields in a variant as you want.

However, I would suggest that the incorrect HL/7 Version for the variant is in use. A later version just might have all the fields you want.

I looked into do that but I use 2.3 I tried 2.4 and 2.5.1 still could not find position 98.  I have asked support I will see what they come back with.  thanks

I am assuming you mean field 98 of the PV1 segment.

Is this a user-defined field the system you are exchanging with wants?

If so you can define a new field in the variant and give it the characteristics that are specified.

Then add that field to the PV1 segment in the variant.

If there are other missing fields before PV1-98, then you will need to define those as well.

It is also possible the system is deploying valid HL/7 fields (fields already defined) but not in their normal location. In that case you do not need to define a field but simply select the fields when adding to the PV1.

Actually pretty straight forward – assuming you have a proper specification of the needed layout.

That did work.  I was hope, there was a nicer way to get from 52 to 98, but I guess not.  thank you for your help
