Twas the night before Christmas, and I’m on Clovertech
Looking for a solution, for my interface’s a wreck.
My problem was posted, in the forum with care
In hopes that Jim Kosloskey soon would be there.
My Tcl procs arent working, my xlate is dead
While visions of iterations dance in my head.
The testing tool is open, the NetConfig is too,
While the NetMonitor awaits, for something to do.
When out on the testing tool, there arose such a clatter,
I clicked on “run command”, to see what was the matter.
As I looked at the window,  I knew a flash,
That my tps is broken and needs to be trashed.
So I opened a tps GUI, white as the new-fallen snow
With the run mode, and time mode and shutdown below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But an email from Clovertech, that a solution was near
Then I logged in to Clovertech, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment, I’d soon learn the trick.
More rapid than eagles, the replies they came,
As I read, and I read, each Clovertechers name
“Now Jim! now, Max! now, Charlie and Cobane!
on, Ariba! on, Femina ! , on Abbott and Dean!
So many replies posted on this forums wall
I don’t think it possible, to ever read them all!”
I understood as I read, each and every reply
When met with an obstacle, you Clovertechers fly.
So through each suggestion, I hurriedly flew,
With the head full of ideas, of just what to do.
I’ll use Max’s regsub, no, Charlie’s string map
Or read some ODBC calls, if I wanted to nap.
I’ll use “-inline” with lsearch,  to turn the script around,
Then place a filter in the NetConfig’s tps inbound.
I spoke not a word, but went straight to my work,
And filled in the IP and ports, then turned with a jerk.
Now hoping my interfaces were no longer hosed,
I clicked on “Control, Startup”, up the interfaces rose!
After some integration testing, this will be given the nod
And we will promote this interface, from test onto prod.
But for now I’ll go home, and as I turn off the lights
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”
Wishing you all the happiest of holidays!
