running cloverleaf 5.6 on a unix system.

Has anybody seen a problem with the notes on a thread changing to the notes on a different thread?  I type in notes on thread “A”, OK it, save it, and can see the notes in Network Monitor.  I then add notes to thread “B” in the same process, OK it, save it and can view it in Network Monitor, but then when I go back, thread “A” sometimes has thread “B”s notes, or the other way around.  I haven’t been able to track a pattern yet, and it doesn’t seem to happen all the time.  It’s just rather annoying when I have to retype all the notes again.

      Thanks!

Hi Paul, haven’t heard of this issue before.  If you can come up with a reproducible case please send an email to techsupport@healthvision.com so we can get it in our bug tracking database and get it fixed.

          Thanks!

            Paul,

I have not seen this behavior; we are also running 5.6 on AIX.  But, the notes are simply stored as text files:  $HCISITEDIR/notes/NetConfig/xxxxxxx/thread_yyyyyy

(where xxxxxxx is the process name, and yyyyyy is the thread name)

Is it possible that someone is manipulating/copying this files directly?

Also, if you ‘Save As’ on the NetConfig to a new name (i.e. myNetConfig), then someone updates notes in NetConfig, then you ‘Save As’ myNetConfig back to NetConfig, the notes that existed under ‘myNetConfig’ would replace the notes of NetConfig.

Nobody is working with the files directly (only four of us on the team) and as a general rule, we don’t use the Save As option.

I’ll see if I can reproduce it and report it if I do find a pattern.  I haven’t taken the time to try and do that yet.

              Thanks for the replies.
