notes not showing up

      We recently upgraded from 5.6 rev2 to 5.8.5  .  We make use of the notes feature, usually having an html link to refer to some documentation.  It was working fine in 5.6 and we could not only reference it from a monitor run by our operations staff, but also by our development staff.

      After upgrading, we can longer reference it from the monitor in operations, but have no problem by us.  I went to the operations location and looked at the monitor.  Nothing showed up in the notes either from NetMonitor nor the NetConfig.  However, when go to a command line, I can browse the notes in the Notes directory under $HCISITEDIR without a problem.  

      We do not have any Cloverleaf security installed.

      Any suggestions?

          Check the directory path for correctness.  If you saved your NetConfig as a different name, this path may have changed.  I think it is the NetConfig directory under the notes directory if I recollect correctly….You may have to name it back to NetConfig…

            Did you upgrade the client machines for your operators to the 5.8.5 version as well?  I know that you can still run the 5.6 client GUI with the server upgraded to 5.8.5, but with diminished functionality.

              Keith, remember, I have no problem accessing the notes from the monitor that runs on my desktop.

              James, good suggestion, but I did upgrade to the 5.8.5 client.  I actually uninstalled the 5.6 client.

                Just for laughs, you might want to try setting the ‘Network Monitor Options’ on those workstations with the ‘Show Notes as HTML by Default’ checked.  Then maybe ‘uncheck’ it again to see if it kinda kicks it into gear….

                This is under ‘Options > Network Monitor Properties’

                  We resolved the issue.  We had inadvertantly not placed the 5.8.5 patch on this client.  As soon as we did, it resolved the problem.
