Not able to open smat file

Good morning everyone,

Hoping someone could help me with an error that I am getting while opening a smat file. The error is ” Could not locate either the index file or the message file”. Does it mean that the file was not saved? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Bashirat,

Have you gone into the directory and confirmed that the files have not been renamed, compressed, or deleted.  I am assuming that you are in the gui and can see the index file on the list of available SMAT files.  If so then you need to confirm that the “.msg” file is there and has the same root name as the “.idx” file.
