      I have a problem with an inbound thread whereby the sending host sometimes fails to release messages although there is still a connection and everything appears to be functioning normally.

      Is there any way of generating an alert if there are no messages across a particular thread for a specified length of time?

          You can do a Last Receive on the thread.  The Comparing field would be the amount in seconds you want to check for; ie, 300 would 5 minutes
