newbie help with alerts

Hi,

I need to setup an alert such that if no message is sent during a given time frame 8am-6PM, an alert is sent.

So I setup a time window of * * 8-18 * * 0-6. What I’m not sure about is what to plug in to the comparing and duration entries.

Any help is appreciated.

Jeff,

You can use “last receive” as Alert Type for the IB thread like this.

Trigger:

  Alert Type: last receive

  Source: IbThreadName

  Source Count: all

  Comparing: >=, 1

  Duration: N min…, 600

  Time Window: * * 8-18 * * 0-6

Then in the Action tab, you can use an exec to send a mail or just do a notify.
