I’m trying to set up a new test engine using CL6.  It’s mainly an esthetics issue, but I hope there’s a way to alter it.

In CL5.7 the default on a thread was the name to appear below the graphic of the thread.  However there was a checkbox under NetConfigNetMonitor in Client Preferences for “Enclose thread name in thread graphics.”

In CL6.0, the thread name appears below the thread graphic, but I can’t find the option to change this behavior.  Is this no longer an option or was it moved somewhere?

Facing the same issue on 5.8.7 too.

          Where’s that option?

On the network monitor, options->client options->netconfignetmonitor and check the box “Enclose thread name in thread graphics”

              Hi Mark,

That’s the case for my current 5.6 client.

But for the 5.8, please see attached. There are more options, but not that option.

                Hi Mark,

It sounded from the first post that you initially had this issue but managed to make the option reappear? What did you do?

                TIA!

No, I never found the option. I listed where it was for 5.7. I don’t know why they removed the option in 6.0 as now it just looks very cluttered.

                    I found this in client.ini in 5.7:

                    netcon_netmon_enclose_thread_name=true

But adding it to the client.ini in 6.0 didn’t have any effect.

I wish the powers-that-be at Cloverleaf had let us decide which works best for us.

                      Is there a ‘like’ button?

Will check it out, and 100% agree on not breaking a good thing. Really ugly and difficult for operations staff.

Ok, tried to add that line to the client.ini but no success.

                        Hmmm….

Can you all please post some screenshots of your sites (before and after if possible)? I’ll pass this on to R&D.

All the folks on 5.8 have been living with it for the last few years?

Hmm, why did they remove it in the first place?

Should be a permanent feature for all versions regardless.

So those of us on 5.x after 5.6 need to live with the removal of the feature?

It’s unlikely that there will be any patches for older versions of Cloverleaf.  Not impossible, but unlikely.

                                    Greetings,

One and All,  my understanding from INFOR support on a few last reported problems from our site:  Patch 7 is the last planned revision

for Cloverleaf Integrator 5.8.   We are on 5.8.6 right now but are too busy to think about testing/applying Revision 7.

Upgrade or die!   That is the motto!

                                    Enjoy.

So they create a problem (by removing a properly working feature) so that we will upgrade? 😛

we are soon going to be going to CL6.0, i think i heard there is a 1 revision patch out, so is this 6.0.2 a new and when does it come out?

                                        Thanks.

                                            CLIS 6.0.2 has been released.

                                            Feature

Option to show thread name within the thread icon (9623)

                                            Description

An option has been added so that the thread name can be shown in the thread icon.

Max, is this a client patch, or a client-server patch? What I mean to say is can it be applied without having to bounce the server?

                                              • #79223

In CIS 6.0.1 we added an option under Client Options to switch to straight lines.

CIS 6.0.1 and CIS 6.0.2 require the server to be completely stopped (processes, daemons, hostserver) before the patch can be applied.

CIS 6.1 will be a new root. So it can be installed next to older versions.

Client must always be patched to the same version as the server.

Thanks for putting the feature of the name being enclosed in the graphic back in. The Network Monitor is more compact and easier to read now. And the straight lines make visually tracing a route easier.
