In order to improve communications on the status of threads and processes, it would be nice to leave a note on that said thread or process to indicate the status.  This would be very useful if something was temporarily off and needed to stay off.

Enhancement Long Description:

In order to improve disaster recovery and having to rely on the phone line in the case of 9/11 and asking for a license key via carrier pigeon.  CNN did report yesterday 09/05/07 armed nuclear weapons flown over US soil.  Could the developers please investigate using a USB doggle to secure the software and assure continuity of service.
