I have been asked by a user if there are many clients using the new Cloverleaf multithreaded translations. He is particularily interested AIX but like to know if others.
I suppose he is wanting the “warm fuzzy feeling” that others may provide 😀
I noticed the multi-threaded translation and was wondering exactly how it works. Can you explain a little bit for us.
We just went to 5.8 and we are experiencing some throughput issues when we get spikes in the volume of ADT messages coming through. One particular place we are seeing this is on a single IB thread to multi OB threads. They are raw routes with an ODBC call in the IB tps.
Read the Cloverleaf docs for multi-thread. It will tell you about as much as I can tell you in this forum. Thre are a lot of decisions to make like whether to maintain order, etc. As with everything you do it becomes a balancing act.
As to whether it will help your exact situation I can only suggest you test it using your specific needs.
