Multiple patch levels on same PC?

Clovertechies,

As more functionality is being added to the “patch” level releases, our need for testing has increased somewhat.  We now have 5.8.3 and 5.8.4 running under different roots on the same AIX server. (Had to change the rmi_registry_port setting in the firewall section of server.ini.)

Has anyone been successful in getting 2 separate patch levels of the GUI running on the same PC?  The Windows installer was not very cooperative about letting me create a second 5.8 root on my PC.  Yes, we could install 5.8.4 on different PC’s — just checking to see if there is a more convenient option.

I am currently running to different roots on my PC, at one point they were different patch levels, but since have upgraded both.  But you can do this.  I can give you some guidance if you like.
