Multiple input threads to one output thread

Hello,  If messages from two separate input threads are routed to one single output thread, will Cloverleaf handle the acknowledgements correctly?

Hi Theresa,

Yes, I’ve been doing this for some time now, using input threads (even from different processes) sending messages to one output thread, and Cloverleaf handles the acks just fine.

Yes this should not be a problem.

Are you looking just to send them back to the source or just kill them on the engine. If you are looking to return them to the source it may be a bit tricky but very doable.

Will it still work if the two feeder systems are on different sites?  Theresa

Haven’t tried multiple input threads on different sites feeding one output thread.  Do you have a test system to try this on?

Yes that works just fine too.

How can you have two feeder systems on separate sites feeding one outbound? You’d have to have an outbound from one site feeding the other site which still gives you two inbounds feeding one outbound on the same site.

Unless I’m missing something.

Yes there would have to be threads created to do cross site communications.
