I have a Xlate I would like to move from our testing environment, which is currently at 5.6 to our production environment which is at 5.4.1. If we do not use any of the new 5.6 enhancements, would there be a problem moving it from 5.6 to 5.4.1?

I wasn’t planning on being in this situation but %@%# happens!

          Rich,

I am not speaking from experience.

I took a quick look at the version in the prologue and it is the same for 5.6 and 5.2 (where we are right now).

I would expect that the version could give an issue so that is why I checked it.

I would say give it a try (after backing up the original of course) and test it thoroughly.

Change “version:   7.0” to “version:   5.0”.

            Max,

OK so the version number changes when an Xlate is modified/saved in 5.6 and not when it is promoted?

I think the Xlate I looked at in 5.6 were only promoted and never modified.

We noticed this issue when we promoted our Xlates to 5.6 (from 5.4.1); it appears there is a bug in the convert script, that didn’t update the version number to 7.0 (which is what it becomes when you update the Xlate in the 5.6 GUI); it actually put the version to 5.0 (when it was actually 6.0 under 5.4.1).  I brought this to the attention of Support (CASE#36430).

It doesn’t appear to cause any issue, but just something we noticed.
