Migration from 5.5 to 5.8

It has been awhile since our last migration. I recall that there were instructions for migrating that required certain commands to be performed to convert the site to the new version. Is there documentation available for this?

Just installed 5.8 Rev3 on a new LPAR configured AIX box.

The release notes point out some issues with HL7 that you need to address.

I’m in the process of migrating some test sites for tuning.

We have installed 5.8 on our new server LPAR and AIX and have the new license keys. The install created the new site which is prod58 and when we try to start the hostserver we get no response and when you try to start the daemons we get this error

$ hcisitectl -S

Starting hcimonitord

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program hcimonitord because of the following error

0509-150 Dependent module libtclx8.4.so could not be loaded.

hcimonitord failed to execute properly

Lockmgr is NOT running

hcimonitord is NOT running

In my initial install I got the same error. Sorry I forgot to mention it initally. Take a look in the install error log. Look for the word ERROR. I used the uninstall procedure supplied, then cleaned the system to ensure that things were back to normal. Did another install and no errors in the log. I cannot account for the ERROR on the first install.

If you have the 5.5 Host Server running as well – You may need to run $ unset DISPLAY in the 5.8 Environment before running $ hciss -s h

We had this issue with 2 Host Servers running simultaneously as well.
