Meditech Diet Orders interface to CBORD

Hi Guys,

Has anyone interfaced Meditech diet orders to CBORD?

We are about to emabrk on this project and I want to know ahead of time if there are many (if any) surprises in the waiting!

Any insight from experienced source is highly appreciable.

Arslan,

Although we did not interface from Meditech, we did interface from Lastword to Cbord.  The biggest issue we encountered was the handling of future orders and room service/no room service data.  If you are running room service in your hospital, ask Cbord many questions on how that will work in their system.  Almost 2 years since we implemented the Lastword to Cbord interface, we are still using a work around that we put in place as a temporary measure.  Not very pretty but it works.

My experience with CBORD is their interface cannot keep up with our volumes (primarily ADT).

I think that was due to CBORD not acknowledging until updates to their DB had occured.

Now, there may be a later version where that is not true, but I would check with the vendor to make sure.
