Master site quesiton – testing tool

All,

Wondering if I am understanding the concept of the master site correctly.

I am using a variant in my master site call ABC (as an example)

I also have the same variant in my regular site called ABC

Should the regular site variant override the master site variant.

My expectation would be yes….  

I would expect the precedence as follows:

Standard Site

MasterSite

Root

With that said, i am seeing what i beleive is a discrepancy in how the Cloverleaf Testing tool and the Xlate tool are referencing the variants

With variants named the same, it appears that the local site will take precedence on the Xlate tool (display the correct site level variant)  while the testing tool will test with the mastersite level variant…

This seems to be a bug to me.  Anyone else experience similar behavior?
