I know you can individually inactivate alerts but was wondering if anyone has a good solution to do a quick mass deactivation of alerts. We would like to do this when there are planned downtimes of our Epic system so that we’re not firing unnecessary alarms.
I could envision some kind of script which edits the default.alrt files in each site adding the { REM 1 } line to each alert, then bounces the monitor daemon. Would this be dangerous/ill advised? Any other ideas?
We are using Cloverleaf 6.2 on AIX.
Thanks!

p.s. to Infor – this might be a good enhancement for future version – deactivate with one click.
