I curious what you all do to clean-up these directories. Do you clean them manually or through a script? Do you keep these files for so long and then delete them or back-up them up?
Good question! I only have a look at these directories when the filesystem is getting too full. I will then delete all ‘old’ files in the revision directories. Have never looked at the lock directory though. Ah: I see some very old files in there too… 😳
It wouldn’t be very difficult to cleanup these directories automatically by regularly deleting all files with a certain age. I know this won’t be a problem with the revisions directories; don’t know about the lock directory though.
I too wonder what others do…

Which raises another question: how often do you upgrade Cloverleaf?
I checked on our production site: we have over 600 files in the lock directory and almost 500 in the revisions. On our development site we have 500 lock files and over 3000 revision files… 😯 May have to clean this up a bit. 🙂
