We have a thread where we need to know if data has stopped flowing. Previous experience has shown that the connection remains in tact with a status of ‘Up’ but either Clover or the sending system has gotten confused and the ack’s are either not being sent, or they are not receving them. To track this we have two alerts set up based on ‘Last Receive’.
The first alert has a time window between 6am & 10pm to throw an alert if it has been one hour since we last received a message.
The second alert has a time window NOT between 6am & 10pm to throw an alert if it has been two hours since the last message.
The alerts probably work 90% of the time, but every couple weeks the alarm will go off at 6:01 am. Our person on call checks the traffic and things are fine. This has happened half dozen times in the last 3 months and always seems to be at 6:01am.
I have searched the forum and see that others have had troubles with the ‘Last Recieve’ alert on occassion. Any ideas would be appreciated.
