Now that this site is better managed and we don’t have a list that can be blindly sent to by recruiters, and assuming that recruiters aren’t already on this board, I don’t see a problem with using this FORUM to post job openings for qualified Quovadx product people.

It wouldn’t be in Quovadx interest to prohibit this as it doesn’t conflict with the ability for them to sell implementation/consulting services.  If a company has made a conscious decision to hire a full time position, then they are not entertaining the idea of a consulting role.

And what better place to find people with Quovadx experience, who may be entertaining a change in venue, than on this board.

Can someone from Quovadx please speak to your policy on the use of this FORUM for companies to place job openings?

      Thank you,

      Bob Milfajt

PS.  It would even be appropriate to charge a fee for the ability to post job openings as I would have to pay a fee to Dice or Monster anyway, but here I have people with the exact experience I’m looking for.

I’m sorry but we cannot allow job postings or discussions about salary information.

Please consider the managers that want their employees to participate in technical discussions without worrying about them being recruited away from a site sponsored by Quovadx.

As a manager, I actually think it would be beneficial to allow job postings on the Clovertech site. The Clovertech forum has an extensive network of experienced personnel.  If I or the recruiters that I work with had the ability to make my open positions known to interested candidates, I would probably be more successful at filling these positions more quickly.

As for team members potentially leaving other places of employment, they are probably already searching through other forums anyway if they are interested in leaving. It’s my responsibility to make sure my team members feel that they are valued and have what they need to be successful in the workplace.

This topic comes up from time to time & I think I can understand both sides of the issue.

I love this as a technical forum and wouldn’t want to lose sight of that.

However, we just endured a nine-month process of finding a new interface guy. Monster, et. al., head hunters and our own Human Resources had a very difficult time figuring out what we were looking for.

I’m not looking for a new job, but if I were, I’d be happy if there were a centralized place to look for jobs in my area of expertise.

                Rob,

I posted this as a Manager.  (Yes, I’ve joined the “Dark Side”  😈 )

I agree with Anita, it’s my job to make my employees feel they valued and properly compensated and to maintain a positive work environment.  That’s why I brought this up.

I think if we structured this properly, we as a community could greatly benefit from this capability.

All I ask is Quovadx listen to the suggestion and evaluate in the light in which it was presented.

                Thanks,

                Bob

Just my 2 cents on a related issue.

It would be nice if national salary surveys recognized Integration Analyst, Integration Engineer, etc… as real jobs and collected salary data in their surveys.

We are currently going thru a reorganization and getting real job titles because the old titles were too generic.

I was a Programmer Analyst 3, after the title changes I will still be a Programmer Analyst 3. Our H.R. and other management couldn’t find any surveys that had salary information under Integration Analyst or something even close to what I do.

Again, I am just venting BUT if someone knows of a survey like this, please let me know (off line of course).

Maybe Quovadx can contact someone to get them to start collecting this data.

                      Russ,

Your organization actually cares what others in our field are getting paid?  Wow!

I get paid according to what others in my department make, regardless of what they do.  No performance raises either.  All we have to do is not get fired and we get raises – it’s all based on seniority in the org.

I think the pay scales and policies were written in 1920 or something, and it would be too much work to change.
