Java Out of Memory Error

We are on qdx5.3 and AIX v5. A few nights ago we started seeing java.lang.OutOfMemoryError in our server.ini file which I have never noticed before and has never caused issues until now. This seems to always happen around 4am and crashes all our sites causing me to have to do site cleanups to bring them back up. I have tried uping the max_jvm_memory=512 from the default of 128 and cycling the host server with no luck. Any suggestions?
