I am trying to iterate over over the path:

          1(0).1(0).1(0).OBX —> 1(0).OBX

I am using the 2.3 standard ORU inbound variant.  I can not seem to copy over more than 1 OBX segment.  When I set-up the Iterate in the xlate where do I put the %g1?  I tried vary places and I can not seem to get it to work.

If I am ever unsure where to put the % variable, I just run my message through the variant in the HL7 tester and select “Detail Level 2” or higher.  That should show you were to put the variable.

          Thanks…Tom

You said what the inbound variant was but you did not say what the outbound variant was.

My problem was how I had my basis set in the iteration.  After a conversation with Jim he set me straight.  I was manually adding in my basis and did not know that translation tool could do it for you  ðŸ˜® .  The outbound variant is also 2.3, but someone else customized it.  The OBX and OBR are placed in group 1.  Once I corrected the basis, all OBX segments parsed out.
