INVISION RCO & LU6.2 to Cloverleaf

All,

Has anyone worked with connecting INVISION in an RCO environment to Cloverleaf via LU6.2, and what were some of the issues that were encountered?  How are you connecting from the remote INVISION; is it a direct connect from the remote INVISION system to Cloverleaf, or is there another system in between (i.e. another mainframe)?  Any information is appreciated.

Hey Jim,  I connect to Invision in an RCO environment. It is definitly not very much fun to do.  I run QDX5.3 on AIX5.2 and use IBM’s Communication Server for AIX v6.0.  I have the server configured as a PU on the SNA network and define each thread connecting to Invision as an LU6.2 connection.  We receive ADT messages via the GRV3 from Invision and also send OSU and ORU message to LCR/COR via RTIF. It all works pretty well but i’d give my kingdon for a TCP/IP connection. If you have specific questions, i’d be happy to try and help.
