intermittent failures with tbllookup

      There is a serious problem with the tbllookup routine that causes failures.  It is occurring based on the data type of the variable see below

      The Failure occurs from the cmd line, in the tester, and in the engine

      The failure is that if numeric strings are used in an entry,  tbllookup will fail on the first time the table is accessed but run ok the second time

      Extremely strange behavior that causes tables of a certain type to fail in the first access after loading

      Given the sequence of events from below, it looks like tbllookup can

          Dick,

          We are CL 5.2, AIX and I do not get the issue you see when attempting the same activity.

          Could this be release or OS dependant?
