Importing HL7 messages to M/S Access

I was wondering if there was anyone out there that has taken a file from SMAT and  Import it into some kind of application, like M/S Access ?

I’m looking to see if there is a way to take the data within the SMAT file import it into an application so that I can create reports on a particular person, item, ect.

Has anyone successfully done this? If M/S access is not a good choice, what applications do you recommend?

What version of Cloverleaf are you using?  In later versions, SMAT files can be stored in a dB, making what you want to do a whole lot easier…

Take a look at a product called ‘Interface Explorer’ by Laconic Designs.

It is for HL/7 but I think that is proablly what you are working with.

It has a number of data acquisition methods and a fair amoount of capabiility.

There is a commercial product named EasyHL7 that does exactly what you are looking for: importing HL7 into Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL Server, and much more.
