Implementing master site slows down IDE

Currently on 5.7Rev2.

Playing around with master site and noticed that when a master site is chosen, the IDE becomes very slow when switching sites, opening site manager, net config/network monitor or when saving anything.

  We have been on Master Site since its inception and do not notice this slowdown.
  
  We have not used CL 5.7 however. Could it be the release level?
