      All,

I am using http client protocol; have await replies on; have httpQuery returning responses as a REPLY; have Saved Messages for both in and out on.

Message sent out ends up in SMAT out as expected, the REPLY however is not in the SMAT in.

Is this the way this is supposed to work or could I have missed something?

Anybody have any ideas why I am not getting the replies from my http client protocol to store in my inbound Saved Messages file?

            Jim,

We are running CIS5.6 Rev2 on AIX TL8 and using a home grown TclCurl driver.  We write our own Reply procedure (TCl) to capture the Reply (doing 270 Eligibility posts).  The protocol is specified as http client.

In our own experiments back when during development, we discovered that the reply is not saved to SMAT using the canned version of http_query.   It is not saved using our own custom logic either.  We think it is a “feature” of the HTTP protocol as implemented on Cloverleaf.

We save the reply using our own TCL code to archive them per Federal requirements for retention.

            You are not going crazy…

              Bob,

              Thanks.

Armed with that information, I guess Iwill earn my keep and get creative.
