      segment1

      segment2

After copying inboudn fields to segment1..I do a CONTINUE (pas segment1)…..how do I prevent segment1 from being passed again after I build segment2 and send?…do i have to space out segment1?

          Robert,

In your intended message is the segment 1 supposed to be optional or is there supposed to always be a segment 1 and segment 2 with each message?

Continue was not used in the xlate.

we want segment1 x0a terminated and segment 2 x0a terminated

                Robert,

Inyour VRL definitions in the Global Proprties, set your termination character to what you want.

                  Jim,

I’m new to Cloverleaf and Bob had posted this for me. What I did was create an HRL. Within the HRL, I created 2 FRL’s. FRL1 is Record Type1, and FR2 is record Type2.

I always want to write out Record Type1 and Record Type 2 in the following manner for each input record:

                  Record Type1

                  Record Type2

What’s coming out is the following:

                  Record Type1                  Record Type2

What can I do to ensure each record type is written to a separate line?

                  Thanks,

                  Joe

                    Joe,

In your FRL definitions add a last field.

You could set a default of hex 0a or 0d (depending on what you want) in the FRL definition or use a COPY of hex 0a or hex 0d to the FRLs in the Xlate.

                      Jim,

I was just going to update this. That’s exactly what I did. I added a field a did a copy hex 0a and it’s doing what I want. Thank you for responding.

                      Joe
